SYNOPSIS: In the era of the Spanish Inquisition, a baby abandoned at the doorsteps of a monastery grows up to be the most devout and esteemed monk in the city. But is he pious out of virtue or lack of exposure to temptation? A Gothic exploration of virtue, temptation, and hypocrisy - a chronicling of a violent eruption of what is repressed within.
